Search and Rescue: K9

University Group Work

  • K9: Search & Rescue is meant to be a gripping and immersive video game that takes players to the World War II front lines. You take on the role of a courageous and devoted recruit dog who is charged with finding and leading wounded troops back to camp or delivering important inteligence around de battlefield. You must utilise your strong senses and instincts to evade enemy fire and cross dangerous terrain as you travel through war-torn landscapes that are dangerous and unknown.
  • In this project I took over a managerial role as this was my idea and formed a group around it that voted for it, so I set up our tasks in a Agile manner, held fortnightly scrums and created our sprint reports. On a personal note, on top of coming up with the idea of the game, how it should play and feel, I did all of our programming in C# (player movement, quest line functionality, save game and restart functionality, AI movement, etc), level design (terrain and asset placement), VFX and Particle System, Sound and UI.
